Pudas Remler Leads Seminoles into 2nd Place at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Florida State’s Elin Pudas Remler is in a tie for third place in the individual standings, and the No. 26 Seminoles are in second place in the team standings after the first of three rounds at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the Long Cove Club. Pudas Remler is just four strokes out of the individual lead and the Seminoles are just eight strokes out of the team lead in one of the most power packed tournaments in all of women’s golf with 12 teams – including the Seminoles – in the top 30 of the team rankings.

Farah O’Keefe of Texas is the round one leader with a seven under par score of 64. The Longhorn junior carded six birdies and was never over par during the round. O’Keefe holds a three stroke lead over teammate Lauren Kim who carded a 3 under par score of 68. With the top two golfers in the individual standings wearing burnt orange and white, Texas is the overall team leader. The Longhorns were the only team to finish under par in the first round.
