A former Streetsboro mayoral candidate who once sued Portage County officials over alleged mistreatment in the county jail is accused of fraud in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Brett M. McClafferty, 37, was arrested at his home in the Virgin Islands, accused of crimes involving nearly $900,000.
