HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Honor Flight of Southern Indiana will take off for its 20th trip to Washington, D.C. on May 2, and officials are sharing how the public can support the organization’s mission.
Town of Grandview awarded $750,000 grant
Honor Flight will host a pork chop fundraiser on March 21. The event will take place at Pat Cosletts Furniture on the corner of Vogel and Green River Road in Evansville. The dinner includes a pork chop sandwich, chips, cookies, and bottled water for $10. The organization is also asking for wish list items for veterans during their journey, including candy bars, raisins, trail mix, crackers, and hand sanitizer. Community members will be able to drop items off between April 6 and April 10 at several Evansville locations during business hours. Those locations are:
