MNPD: 2 indicted for fight-related death in downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men are now in jail nearly a year after they were both reportedly involved in a fight that turned deadly in downtown Nashville.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, 24-year-old William Paul Bingham Jr. of Lewisburg and 26-year-old Alex Javelosa of Nashville are each in jail on charges of reckless homicide and aggravated assault resulting in death in connection with the May 2025 death of 25-year-old Paul McConnell.

Police said Bingham’s bond is set at $100,000, and Javelosa’s has been set at $75,000.

The fight occurred on Church Street near Printers Alley around 1:45 a.m. on May 24, 2025. The MNPD’s central precinct officers and the members of the Nashville Fire Department found McConnell unconscious around that time, officials said…
