BRPD seeks suspect in carjacking of 80-year-old woman

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Baton Rouge police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of carjacking an 80-year-old woman while she warmed up her vehicle.

Investigators said the incident occurred Feb. 14 in the 1400 block of N. 27th Street. According to police, the suspect approached the woman while she was under her carport and demanded her keys and vehicle. The woman complied and was not injured. The suspect left in the vehicle.

Suspect description

Surveillance photos released by police show the suspect as a man with short to medium-length dark hair, a medium build, and visible tattoos on his chest and torso. He was shirtless and wearing red shorts at the time of the incident.
