A 67-year-old man from Coweta, Oklahoma, was killed early Monday, March 2, 2026, in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 60 in Carter County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 1:50 a.m. on Highway 60, nine miles west of Van Buren.
According to the patrol, an unknown vehicle struck the man while he was in the roadway and then fled the scene. The driver and vehicle have not been identified. He was pronounced dead at 3:01 a.m. at the scene by Carter County Coroner Erik McSpadden…
