Kansas teacher arrested after investigation of relationship with student

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested a high school teacher on Tuesday who is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The department saida lieutenant with the agency was notified of inappropriate communication between a student and teacher at Peabody-Burns High School. The investigation determined that the teacher had sexual contact with a student, according to the sheriff’s office.

With assistance from the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, investigators said they uncovered more evidence before the teacher’s arrest.
