Statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe makes stop in Fond du Lac, heads to Brown County next

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) — A statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe — known as the “Madre Peregrina,” or Pilgrim Mother — is currently in Fond du Lac as part of an international tour, with Brown County as its next stop.

The statue was created in the image of the Virgin Mary as seen by Juan Diego, who claimed she appeared to him in Mexico in 1531.

About the statue and the pilgrimage experience

Father Tim Oudenhoven, of MarianMessengers.org, is one of the priests who worked to bring the statue to Wisconsin.
