2 men face murder charges after 20-year-old Kyle resident dies from fentanyl overdose

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man from Austin and a man from Lockhart were arrested and charged with murder after a 20-year-old Kyle resident died from a fentanyl overdose, according to law enforcement.

According to Kyle Police, investigators identified 27-year-old Aaron Jones, of Austin, as the supplier of the fentanyl and 23-year-old Julian Escamilla, of Lockhart, as the individual who delivered the narcotics that led to the victim’s death.

Jones was charged with murder, and Escamilla was charged with murder and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, according to police. KXAN has reached out to attorneys for both to request a comment on the charges…
