LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – Linn County hires workers across a range of industries, with officials pointing to retirement benefits and community impact as key draws for job seekers.
“One of the main benefits that really entices people is IPERS, it’s Iowa Public Employees Retirement System. So this is a really great, well-known retirement program that all of our employees get to take advantage of,” said Adrienne Rule, a human resources analyst for Linn County.
Wide range of positions available
Some county positions are seasonal, while others are full time. Linn County also offers openings for applicants at different education levels, including positions that do not require a college degree.
“I think the beauty of working for the county is we are one organization, but we are multi-industry. So, you know, we have folks that work in maintenance. We have teachers. We have engineers, admin, law enforcement. There’s so many different opportunities for people,” Rule said.
