District attorney race

Two Democratic candidates will appear on the primary ballot for Hays County District Attorney: Landon Bryan Campbell and Alfonso Salazar. There is no Republican candidate in this race, meaning whoever wins the Democratic primary will likely be the county’s next DA.

Landon Bryan Campbell currently serves as a division chief in the Hays County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, he oversees programs in the misdemeanor courts as well as diversion and specialty courts.

Alfonso Salazar spent 12 years in the military, serving in the Texas Air National Guard and on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He has also worked as an employee of the State of Texas.
