A vehicular crash involving an electric scooter claimed a life in Meridian late Saturday night, the Meridian Police Department said.
Meridian police and fire, as well as Ada County Paramedics, were dispatched at approximately 11 p.m. to the scene near West Ustick Road and Settler’s Park. Though multiple citizens and witnesses to the crash stopped to provide aid, the scooter’s rider, a male, was pronounced dead after life-saving measures proved unsuccessful.
Two vehicles at the scene were determined to have struck the rider, and the drivers are cooperating with the investigation. At least one other involved vehicle may have fled, and a blue SUV has been named as a vehicle of interest…
