GRANT COUNTY, Wash. – Detectives with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public for any information they may have about a 2011 homicide victim who was recently identified through DNA testing.
39-year-old Jorgé Palayo-Rodriguez of Othello was found shot dead near the Potholes Reservoir on November 23, 2011. DNA evidence was submitted for testing at the time, but did not yield a match. GCSO said his identity remained a mystery until he was recently matched to a relative through more refined DNA testing.
