Donor at downsized Ann Arbor college trying to claw back $1.5M from Wisconsin campus

ANN ARBOR, MI – In 2019, Keturah Thunder-Haab was inducted into Concordia University’s Hall of Fame for her longtime support of the Ann Arbor campus’s athletic programs. Her name still sits atop the school’s track and field facility, the “Thunder Sports Complex.”

But three years after her death, her foundation is locked in a legal battle with Concordia over the terms of her trust.

The foundation is seeking to prevent the 13% of her trust designated for Concordia Ann Arbor from being directed to the broader Concordia University system and rescind or recover a separate $1.5 million payment dedicated to building a fitness center at Concordia’s Ann Arbor campus on Geddes Road, which closed in 2024…
