NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office announced that a joint investigation has led to a couple being arrested in connection with a death at an assisted living facility.
Cynthia Kelly, 58, and Reginald V. Kelly, 60, are charged with one count of abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death, two counts of neglect of a vulnerable adult and two counts of kidnapping.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office reached out to the Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit after identifying suspicious circumstances related to the death of a resident of the community residential care facility at Park Circle Home, located in the 1100 block of Bexley Street. Further investigation revealed that the Kellys’ alleged neglect of the deceased vulnerable adult resident caused the resident’s death between June 12, 2024, and April 10, 2025…
