Augusta Nonprofit Fills Baby Donation Gap After Prepare for Babies Warehouse Closes

Riley Reese launched Little Lamb Necessities to accept baby and toddler donations once Prepare for Babies shuttered its warehouse. The old group shifted gears to maternity housing. This new nonprofit opened just weeks ago and operates from Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Reese built this ministry alongside her pastor when she heard about the warehouse closing. “I called my pastor and told him about it and he said he has been praying about a babies ministry too so it worked out perfectly,” Reese said to WRDW. “Prepare for Babies closed its doors on donations, so it was God working out and telling me this needs to happen.”

The group serves families with babies up to five years old. They provide clothes and food. Expectant mothers get maternity items too…
