As a 9th seed in the Big East, Xavier’s dreams of making March Madness may have come to an end. However, the Musketeers have a bigger crisis on their hands, as Head coach Richard Pitino is drawing interest from a rival.
Last week, Pitino was rumored to ‘highly consider’ leaving Xavier to become the new head coach of Providence as per Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68. But despite the escalating reports, the 43-year-old cleared the air and let everyone know his stance.
Pitino Has Good News for Xavier Fans
During his appearance at 55KRC radio show, Pitino mentioned the Providence rumors by saying ‘You never ever know with the world of Twitter what bombs are gonna hit you at any moment.’
