Family-owned ice cream shop opens second location in Dunn

Sprinkles, a family-owned ice cream shop in Harnett County, has quickly become a beloved gathering place for local families. After opening its first location in Bunnlevel in November 2023, Sprinkles has now expanded to a second shop in downtown Dunn. The owners celebrated the shop’s grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Sprinkles began with owners Sab Jaradat and his wife, lifelong ice cream fanatics. As parents of two young children, they noticed that the Anderson Creek area, despite its many young families and nearby schools, lacked family-oriented destinations. When they discovered a vacant building with a large parking lot and grassy outdoor space, they saw an opportunity to create a safe, welcoming place for families to gather.

From the start, Sprinkles has emphasized more than just dessert. The Anderson Creek “mother location” often hosts food trucks, turning the shop into a casual community hub where families can linger, kids can run around and neighbors can connect. That strong response helped pave the way for the second location in Dunn, an up-and-coming downtown area with growing foot traffic and few competitors offering a similar experience…
