SANGER – Following a multi-million dollar settlement with a victim of a former Sanger police officer, residents have raised some concerns with city administration.
At the Feb. 19 Sanger City Council meeting, concerned residents used the public forum to speak on the city’s recent $5.25 million settlement with a victim of former police officer J. DeShawn Torrence, who received five life sentences in September 2025 for repeated sexual assault while on duty.
