GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Arefeen Chowdhury, a U.S. Army and Georgia National Guard veteran, business owner and educator, has announced his candidacy for Gwinnett County Commission District 4.
Chowdhury said his campaign will focus on fiscal accountability, disciplined leadership and restoring a service-oriented approach to local government.
In 2024, Chowdhury was the Republican nominee for Gwinnett County tax commissioner. He is a graduate of the Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2024 and currently serves as board member-at-large for the Gwinnett County Republican Party and treasurer for the Conservative Veterans of Gwinnett.
