Moratorium to stop rezonings for Louisville data center projects dies in committee

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A moratorium that would have stopped all new rezonings for data center projects in Metro Louisville died in the Planning and Zoning Committee on Tuesday.

The moratorium was the final item on Tuesday’s agenda. Chair Andrew Owen, D-Clifton, said the committee was going to “hold” the item.

“Actually, sir, that last item will actually die. Because it’s due on March 11,” Metro Council Clerk Sonya Howard said over Zoom just before the meeting was adjourned…
