Man charged with deadly shooting at Madison apartment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been charged with homicide after a deadly shooting at a Madison apartment complex.

According to arrest documents, just after 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2025, officers were called to an apartment in the 800 block of Skyline Ridge Drive, where they found 23-year-old Aubrey Bellamy on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound. First responders attempted to give him medical help, but he died at the scene. An autopsy report found that Bellamy was shot one time in the lower back and the bullet exited on the upper left side of his chest.

Witnesses reportedly told investigators Bellamy was in a fight with two other men prior to the shooting. Reports said as Bellamy attempted to stand up after the fight, Jaleic Horton, 21, allegedly shot him with a handgun. After the shooting, Horton and the other man were seen on surveillance footage leaving the apartment.
