‘Bring pets indoors’: Police warn East Bay community of possible mountain lion sighting

(KRON) — Residents in one East Bay community are being warned about a mountain lion sighting early Monday morning. According to the Kensington Police Department (KPD), the agency received two reports of a mountain lion or lynx in the area south of Rincon Road and north of Highgate Road.

KPD released surveillance footage that captured the animal around 4:36 a.m. Animal control officials have been notified about the sighting.

“Out of an abundance of caution, residents in the surrounding area are advised to bring pets indoors and remain aware of their surroundings,” Kensington police wrote on social media…
