Snowplow driver who fatally struck North Providence woman arrested again for DUI

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The snowplow driver who struck and killed a 71-year-old woman in North Providence in Jan. 2024 has been arrested again — this time for driving under the influence.

Rhode Island State Police said Lloyd Card, 32, of Lincoln, was arrested around 2:01 a.m. Feb. 28 after a traffic stop on Legris Avenue in West Warwick. Troopers charged him with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor with a blood alcohol content between .10 and .15 and disorderly conduct.

Police said Card’s breath tests measured .103% and .095%.

Card was taken to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and held overnight as a probation violator…
