Tractor-trailer fuel leak prompts hazmat response in Lincoln

LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — A portion of Old Louisquisset Pike in Lincoln was down to one lane for several hours on Tuesday after a tractor-trailer leaked diesel fuel.

Police said the truck became disabled near Breakneck Hill Road due to a mechanical issue.

Chief Timothy Walsh of the Limerock Fire Department told 12 News that as the truck was pulling away around 10:40 a.m., the driveshaft snapped and struck the two diesel saddle tanks, causing them to leak…
