Overnight fire at Staten Island scrap yard brought under control by FDNY

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY extinguished a fire at a scrapyard in Rossville early on Wednesday morning.

The fire was called in at 1:05 a.m. near 2477 Arthur Kill Road, between St. Lukes Avenue and Hervey Street, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY and EMS.
