Officers responded to The Capital District Psychiatric Center on New Scotland Avenue around 7 a.m. Monday, March 2, after staff reported a fight between two patients, according to Albany Police.
When officers arrived, they found a 55-year-old woman suffering from severe injuries to her face and head. She was treated at the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.
