MEDINA, Ohio – It’s been almost eight years since Sérénité Restaurant opened its doors, billing itself as a place for recovery and training. It focused on French cuisine, an unpretentious brasserie with traditional dishes. It started well, and donations and diners flooded in.

But what began as a breath of fresh air in Medina’s dining scene last year suddenly halted for eight months. Operators took the time to scrutinize how the place was being run.

Now, under the leadership of board president Tony Bianco and with an infused priority of collaboration and fiscal responsibility, Sérénité is back open with a concerted emphasis on helping those who work and train there…
