Preservation Houston proudly announces the launch of Savoring History: Houston’s Legacy Restaurants, a new program recognizing long-standing, family-owned restaurants as living history. The initiative honors establishments that have shaped Houston’s culture, nurtured community and stood the test of time.
Houston’s diverse and creative restaurants, from cherished family-owned spots to iconic dining destinations, tell the story of the people, traditions and flavors that define the city. Through recognition, storytelling and advocacy, Savoring History links historic preservation with Houston’s dynamic culinary and business communities.
“This program celebrates restaurants that have helped define Houston’s identity,” said Jennifer Kapral, Executive Director of Preservation Houston. “These establishments are more than businesses.
