FBI joins search for missing retired Air Force general in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  The search continues for a missing, retired Air Force general who disappeared from an Albuquerque neighborhood last week. Now KRQE News 13 has learned that federal investigators are helping in that search.

McCasland was last seen at his Foothills-area home on Friday, near Tramway Blvd. and Academy Road.

On Tuesday, investigators from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI were seen canvassing the neighborhood.

McCasland, who’s 68, retired in 2013 after a long career in the Air Force, including as the Commander for the Air Force Research Lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and leading the Phillips Research Site at Kirtland in Albuquerque.
