DHS protective service: 2 detained at Eugene protest were juveniles, cited and released

EUGENE, Ore. — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service (FPS) released a statement on Tuesday morning regarding two people detained during protests in Eugene on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.

FPS stated that two people were charged with damage to government property. They were later identified as juveniles, cited and released to their parents.
