One of the longtime Fur Rondy traditions, the Oyster Shucking Contest, is officially underway. Hosted by 907 Alehouse, the weeklong competition invites participants to test their speed and skill by shucking a dozen oysters as cleanly and efficiently as possible.
Contestants are judged on both time and technique, with top scorers advancing to a final round on Friday, when this year’s oyster champion will be crowned.
