25 additional charges filed against 19-year-old in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – 25 more charges have been filed against a 19-year-old who was previously arrested on multiple fraud charges, according to the Asheville Police Department.

Police located and arrested 19-year-old Masieuh Dewayne Morgan on multiple fraud charges. Once in custody, Morgan was charged with the following:

  • 5 counts of felony conspiracy
  • 6 counts of obtaining property under false pretenses
  • 6 counts of accessing computers
  • 4 counts of forged paper or instrument containing a forged endorsement
  • financial transaction card fraud
  • forgery of notes, check and other securities
  • larceny by employee
  • assault on a female

Morgan was initially arrested in January on multiple open felony warrants. Following an investigation, Morgan was given 9 additional charges, reaching a total number of 37.

Morgan is currently being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $266,000 bond…
