BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County Public Health — in collaboration with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Bakersfield Police Department — conducted an education and enforcement operation targeting unpermitted food vendors in Kern County on Saturday, according to officials.
This effort focused on vendors identified through 88 community complaints at 37 different locations. They were accused of operating without proper health permits, along with possible food safety concerns, officials said.

There has been an influx of food vendors operating without proper permits and a high number of complaints about them constantly being received, according to Public Health.
According to the press release, there were 26 locations with no unpermitted food vending during the operation. They issued 11 cease and desist orders to food vendors operating without proper health permits…
