The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a close call on a Boston Logan International Airport runway. This near-miss happened on a snowy Sunday morning, March 1, when one plane had to slam on its brakes during takeoff to avoid colliding with another.
A passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, aboard a Republic Airways plane operating for Delta, spoke with 7NEWS Boston about the near-miss on the runway. According to the passenger’s account, the flight, with approximately 100 people on board, was en route to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York when the pilot slammed on the brakes seconds before takeoff.
Following the incident, the individual reported that the pilot told other passengers on the aircraft that the other plane was located only about 200 yards away…
