HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WNCN) — A request from the Town of Holly Springs to use $135 million in revenue bonds was approved by the Local Government Commission Tuesday, state officials said.
According to the LGC, Holly Springs will use the $135 million for improvement projects, including financing upgrades to the Utley Creek Water Reclamation Facility. The town will also build new infrastructure to increase treatment capacity from 6 million gallons per day to 8 million gallons, in addition to rehabilitating existing parts.
Holly Springs is expected to impose a water/sewer rate increase between 9% to 15%, which could be in effect through 2031, according to the LGC…
