UPDATE: Truck catches fire after going into ravine off Bypass in Clarksville

Update, 7:15 p.m.: The roadway is back open.

Update, 6 p.m.: The collision involved a pickup truck that left the roadway and caught fire. The driver of the truck had minor injuries and was not transported, Spielhagen said.

The Bypass remains closed between Old Ashland City Road and Highway 12 as Clarksville Fire Rescue works to extinguish the flames. The road is going to be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The US 41A Bypass has been shut down after a wreck with injuries.

At 5:20 p.m., the highway was shut down near Chesterfield Road, according to Clarksville Police spokesperson Melissa Spielhagen. “Currently, all lanes are blocked as MCEMS and Clarksville Fire Rescue work with officers at the scene. Citizens may wish to seek alternative routes or plan for longer commute times around this area,” she said…
