CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Clearwater drivers may catch a glimpse of Publix’s giant shopping cart on the road this week.
The Lakeland-based grocery store is promoting the grand opening of its new store, located in Clearwater Plaza, by having its large motorized Publix shopping cart drive around the community on opening day.
The new store, at 1295 South Missouri Avenue, is set to open Thursday, March 5.

“The 46,791 square-foot store will offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce as well as a full-service bakery, deli, pharmacy and an adjacent Publix Liquors.
