ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — A man was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday, nearly a decade after authorities said he shot and killed a Red Springs man, according to the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
Daniel Richard Cummings was 30 years old when Nakoma Deshane Jacobs, 26, was shot in the chest and killed on Aug. 28, 2016. It happened at about 5:20 a.m. at his home on Bryant Road.
Cummings was found guilty of first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Judge Ricardo Jensen sentenced him to life in prison with no chance for parole…
