Here’s a recap of Greenville County Council’s March 3 meeting:

Approved: Study to explore development concurrency requirements

Council approved a resolution authorizing county staff to study developing land development concurrency guidelines and requirements that could potentially mitigate the impact of rapid development.

Broadly speaking, concurrency requirements are tools local governments can use to ensure infrastructure improvements are made in parallel with (i.e. concurrently) new development that places additional demand on that infrastructure.
