KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – After years of community meetings, planning sessions and neighborhood advocacy, the Knoxville City Council has formally endorsed a master plan for the redevelopment of the South Knoxville waterfront’s downriver area.
That said, a voice of caution did come from the vote.
The council voted this week to adopt the South Waterfront Downriver Master Plan, a community-driven framework that will guide future development along the South Knoxville riverfront.
