LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Emails obtained through an open records request show Lexington city leaders internally questioned why Mayor Linda Gorton’s road appeared to receive preferential snow treatment following a WKYT Investigates inquiry in January.
The emails came after viewers noticed the mayor’s rank-four road appeared in better condition than other rank-four roads during a major winter storm in January. The city publicly denied any preferential treatment.

Lexington Streets and Roads Director Rob Allen said in January that the mayor no longer lives at the address in question.
“The mayor doesn’t live there anymore. She’s in a different house, a rental property, as far as I know. To answer that…nobody emphasizes the mayor’s house or anyone else but I do know she’s remodeling her house so she’s in a rental house somewhere else,” Allen said…
