Southern Indiana sanctuary takes in 2 pigs after crash on I-64 in New Albany

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A tragic crash on Interstate 64 in southern Indiana involving an animal trailer led to the rescue of two pigs.

Tribe Animal Sanctuary said it received a call about the crash from the New Albany Animal Shelter, who took the pigs in after the crash.

The two pigs were the only animals to survive the crash that happened Friday, Feb. 27 on Interstate 64 near the Interstate 265 ramp. Tribe Animal Sanctuary said the pigs were on the way to be slaughtered…
