A man has been accused of slipping a tracking device into a woman’s car in The Villages.
Kevin House, 54, of Wildwood, was arrested Monday on charges of stalking and installing a tracking device without consent.
House went to a prearranged meeting with the woman this past week at Barnes & Noble at Lake Sumter Landing, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. She told deputies that House’s “recent decline in mental health, erratic behavior, and ongoing verbal altercations have caused her significant concern.” Portions of the arrest report were redacted, therefore they did not disclose the nature of the relationship between House and the woman. However, the report said that House has been exhibiting a “controlling nature.” The woman has filed for an order of protection against House.
