Florida man pleads guilty to meth distribution with enhanced sentencing

TALLAHASSEE, Florida — Robert “Bobby” Shane Willis, a 46-year-old from Perry, Florida, has pleaded guilty to distributing 5 grams or more of methamphetamine, with an enhanced sentence due to a prior serious drug felony conviction.

The plea was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida. “Peddling deadly drugs in the Northern District of Florida is a one-way ticket to federal prison,” Heekin stated, emphasizing the commitment to prosecuting such crimes. Court documents reveal that on March 5, 2025, Willis sold 6.6 grams of 97% pure methamphetamine during an undercover operation. Previously, Willis served 108 months in federal prison for drug-trafficking and firearms charges and was on federal supervised release at the time of the current offense.

Willis faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison due to the enhanced sentence and a pending violation of supervised release for prior felonies.
