Charles “Chip” Norton, a prominent real estate developer in Worcester, is being sued by a company that claims he owes it more than $1 million.
In February, X-Caliber Rural Capital LLC of New York sued Norton in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Massachusetts. The suit claims Norton illegally funneled funds owed to X-Caliber into entities that Norton controlled in connection with a property in Southbridge that includes the Wellsworth Hotel.
