Investigation underway in death of 32-year-old man incarcerated at Lansing prison

A 32-year-old man imprisoned at the Lansing Correctional Facility died Tuesday, according to a news release from the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Raymond Michael Sanders Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas, was found unresponsive in his cell Tuesday afternoon. Staff and emergency medical service personnel attempted life-saving measures, but were unable to revive him, according to the release. The cause of his death is pending the results of an autopsy.
