Convicted Felon Arrested In Naperville For Possessing Cocaine, Machine Gun, Other Firearms

A 46-year-old convicted felon has been denied pre-trail release after he was arrested last week for being in possession of cocaine and a variety of firearms, including a machine gun.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin and Naperville Chief of Police Jason Arres announced today that last week Judge Joshua Dieden granted the State’s motion to deny pre-trial release after being charged with one count of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine Between 400-900 Grams (a Class X Felony); one count of Aggravated Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle (a Class 1 Felony); one count of Possession of a Machine Gun (a Class 2 Felony); eight counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (a Class 3 Felony); and one count of Misdemeanor Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer.

According to police, in early January 2026 detectives with the Naperville Police Department received information to be on the lookout for a 2024 Ford F150 Raptor with Tennessee license plates that was possibly stolen and was located in Naperville on multiple occasions. On January 15, 2026, officers spotted the vehicle at a gas station on North Aurora Road. After the truck left the gas station northbound on Raymond Drive, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop after allegedly observing the driver commit a traffic violation.
