Rockford police officer faces more criminal charges

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rockford Police Department officer accused of fraud and theft faces additional charges from other counties.

Corey Roser, 35, of Rockford, is charged with two counts of theft by deception and one count of burglary for incidents in McHenry And DeKalb counties.

Those two charges go on top of the original charges: five counts of theft of property (over $500, but less than $10,000), four counts of home repair fraud and one count of official misconduct.

Roser turned himself in to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office on March 4, according to Illinois State Police…
