Conroe considers $4 fee to help cover more than $11M in stormwater infrastructure needs

Conroe is considering implementing a $4 stormwater utility fee to help fund more than $11.9 million in needed infrastructure improvements across the city.

There are just over 31,000 residential properties and 2,800 non-residential properties in the city limits. The fees would generate nearly $5 million annually for the city, according to a recent study by Fort Worth-based Freese and Nichols.
